What is Disney ILS?
Disney ISL is short for Disney International Labor Standards Audit Checklist, which is a program established by The Walt Disney Company to assure that products are made under safe and respectful foundation. Manufacturers need to pass the audit to get the license for producing Disney-branded products.
Disney Code of Conduct & Minimum Compliance Standard
Disney Code of Conduct and MCS put emphasis on labor standard issue and the procedure during the manufacturing. The requirements include a safe and ethical working environment, the welfare of the employees, and both the equipment and materials from certified sources. Inspected factories need to meet and maintain the requirements and should not violate or exist any of the following labor standard issues:
- Child Labor
- Involuntary Labor
- Coercion and Harassment
- Nondiscrimination
- Association
- Health and Safety
- Subcontracting
- Monitoring and Compliance
