Fei Hong Five Metals × Onlygo Case Study
Fei Hong has specialized in custom metal products and metal surface finishing for more than 30 years of OEM/ODM zinc alloy manufacturing. Together with design brand Onlygo, we produced the Taiwan Culture Magnet collection, which is divided into three themes: Taiwan Landmarks, Taiwan Food and Taiwan Culture. Design concept
The Taiwan Culture Magnet collection starts from Taiwan’s local culture. It takes recognizable elements — street food, landmark buildings, everyday life and Taiwan’s animals — and reinterprets them through 3D relief and full-color digital printing, creating magnets that work both as travel souvenirs and as small, cheerful objects for everyday life. The style is bright and slightly realistic. Printing is applied only to selected areas, letting the shine of the metal and the depth of the craftsmanship show through for a more refined finish. Beyond its practical use, each magnet is a small collectible that shows the character of Taiwan.
The Taiwan Culture Series includes three designs: the Gaji Bag, the pedestrian signal “Little Green Man” and blue-and-white slippers. They are not tourist sights or local specialties, but objects people in Taiwan see every day. Each magnet is die-cast in zinc alloy, then finished with 3D relief and full-color digital printing, capturing familiar details — stripes, signal lights, slipper straps — on a magnet about 5 mm thick.
This project shows how Fei Hong takes an illustrated design into metal mass production. Onlygo’s design team created the illustrations and layout; Fei Hong handled zinc alloy die-casting, 3D relief, gold-tone plating, full-color digital printing and magnet assembly, all completed at our own production facility.
